The 4 "LR is inspired by Dave_C FPV https://www.youtube.com/c/DaveCFPV/featured , he has innovated the micro long range to comply with the new legislation, but also go a long way (+ / -10km).

The flight controller runs betaflight 4.2.x and comes with a tuning, the only thing I changed is flash the ESCs with jazz maverick's ( JazzMaverick / BLHeli ) BLheli 16.73 to get bi-directional D-shot. Then RPM filtering can be applied, which saves a lot of processing power due to the gyro-notch filter. I could also turn off the gyro-notch filter without further adverse effects.

The analog version weighs 148 grams here, so that leaves some room. I've also seen others fly with a gopro payload, that's an extra 119 grams.

Just a list of batteries that I have already tried:
3S 500 mAh ~ 6 minutes
3S 800 mAh ~ 10 minutes
4S 1300 mAh ~ 14 minutes
4S 1500 mAh ~ 16 minutes

And apparently with a 3S Li-ion pack (not lipo, 4x a 18650 cell) you can get 30 minutes or more flight time!

mooi vastleggen
