Vliegen in een Skeyes VLL2 zone met een C0 of equivalente drone - how to

Ik krijg hier en daar vragen over vliegen in VLL2 met de mini of mini 2. Hieronder de stappen die ik volg:

Om te vliegen in VLL2 zones geef ik je aan hoe ik het aanpak:

Eerst naar Droneguide - dat is de officiële kaart die alle no-fly zones (ook tijdelijke) aangeeft. (maps.droneguide.be)

Dan de locatie aanklikken, bv "Vordenstein Schoten"

Als je dat aanklikt zie je EBAW VLL1 en VLL2 opkomen (Antwerpen luchthaven)

Als je doorklikt op bijvoorbeeld EBAW VLL1 krijg je dit:

Deze zone is niet van toepassing, want begint van 432 voet tot 2500 voet, daar kom je niet in (mag ook niet, Europese regelgeving) dus kan je negeren

Deze is wel voor ons, je gaat tussen deze hoogtes vliegen

Dan moet je bovenaan rechts "access conditions" aanklikken en EBAW beginnen ingeven, je krijgt keuzes en kies EBAW VLL2

Je krijgt nu condities te zien waar je je moet aan houden:

Using a geo-awareness system is mandatory, but for UAS operations performed in the "open" category with a UAS with a maximum take-off mass of less than 900g or in the "specific" category, it will be mandatory only as from 2/12/21, except if the usage of a geo-awareness system is required in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2019/947.		-
The pilot must be available at all times during the flight on a dedicated telephone registered in advance with the zone manager.		-
A flight may be cancelled at any time for safety or security reasons by the ATS unit concerned.	Via DSA Tool or Tel	-
For model aerodromes, a deviation can be granted in writing by skeyes.		-
UAS operations in the ‘open’ category must not be conducted at a height above one hundred and fifty feet AGL.		-
UAS operations in the ‘specific’ category must not be conducted at a height above four hundred feet AGL.		-
The flight must be reported at least three hours before the start in such a way as prescribed by the zone manager; if no conditions or prohibitions are imposed by the air traffic control unit concerned, the flight must be considered as authorised.	Drone Service Application​ www.skeyes.be	-

Using a direct remote identification system is mandatory, but for UAS operations performed in the "open" category with a UAS with a maximum take-off mass of less than 900g or in the "specific" category, it will be mandatory only as from 2/12/21, except if the usage of a direct remote identification system is required in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2019/947.

Specific Categories zijn niet van toepassing, je gaat "open" vliegen

Niet boven de 150 voet vliegen

The flight must be reported at least three hours before the start in such a way as prescribed by the zone manager; if no conditions or prohibitions are imposed by the air traffic control unit concerned, the flight must be considered as authorised.

Drone Service Application​

Je moet je vlucht bekend maken, max 3u voor je gaat vliegen. Deze moet je ingeven op de Skeyes DSA applicatie (je moet uiteraard eerst geregistreerd staan als UAV operator) - Drone Service Application - en doorklikken naar DSA

Eerste keer is dat veel werk, maar achteraf kan je de templates kopieren voor andere tijden

Let op, de tijden zijn in UTC, wij zitten een uurtje verder, dus als je 13-16u wil gaan vliegen, 12-15 UTC aangeven

Als alles goed gaat krijg je onmiddellijk toestemming (altijd voor drones in C0 categorie of gelijkaardig - mini 2)

Dan komt de DSA Fly app (website) in actie - Drone Service Application en doorklikken naar Fly (werkt ook goed op mobile browsers)

Vanaf je die dag gaat vliegen, moet je op de Fly app telkens aangeven wanneer je gaat opstijgen of landen

Verder moet je die app in de gaten houden, soms vraagt de toren acties - ik kreeg al eens door om onmiddellijk te landen (All UAV's land until further notice) - mede voor deze reden ga ik een apart android toestel gebruiken om te vliegen, en niet m'n telefoon.

Ga je dichter bij Antwerpen, dan heb je enkel maar VLL0 of LL1, ook voor "onze" hoogtes, da's niet echt doenbaar meer, daar moet je 7 dagen op voorhand een vlucht aanvragen en moet manueel goedgekeurd worden.

Op dronemaps kan je het netjes zien, VLL2 is het buitenste rode vlak rond de luchthaven.
